I am an economist of the research department at the Bank of Italy

I was trained at UPENN. My academic interests are in empirical microeconomics and structural econometrics. I work on the economics of insurance markets and of human capital

I spent the past years on a new (big) data project on auto insurance contracts: IPER

IPER is the basis of my current research agenda focused on the efficiency and competition of the auto insurance market

A main theme of my research is moral hazard.

For non economists: What is moral hazard?

Moral hazard is when they take your money and then are not responsible for what they do with it”
